Since 9 p.m. Sunday until 2 p.m.,  Monday, the 911 center has dispatched 919 calls, 748 for Ppolice and 171 for fire. This represents a 15 percent increase under normal conditions.

The DeKalb County Emergency Operations Center remains in operation, and has received more than 5,300 calls from 9 p.m. Sunday night through 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Many government meetings that were scheduled for today (Jan. 11) have either been postponed or cancelled. The regularly scheduled board meeting for the Development Authority of DeKalb County planned for Jan. 11 at the Holiday Inn - Downtown Decatur has been cancelled until further notice. The regularly scheduled board meeting for the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners, will be postponed until Jan. 12 at 11:30 a.m.

DeKalb County has suspended sanitation service through Jan. 12 and will reevaluate conditions for the rest of the week at that time.
