Dunwoody man’s widow knew alleged killer

The man arrested earlier this week for the killing of Dunwoody resident Rusty Sneiderman seven weeks ago is not a stranger to the victim’s wife.
Hemy Zvi Neuman, 48, of Buckhead, has been charged with murder in the November shooting of Sneiderman outside of Dunwoody Prep. Sneiderman was shot several times after dropping off his 2-year-old son at the daycare center.
Andrea Sneiderman, the victim’s wife, worked under Neuman, an operations and quality manager at GE Electric Energy in Marietta, according to a spokesman.
Neuman earned his bachelors degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech in 1984. In 1998, he received a master’s degree in business administration.
A candlelight vigil scheduled for today to remember Sneiderman was postponed indefinitely by his friends who had been planning the event since December. At the Congregation Or-Hadash, the synagogue the Sneiderman family attends, no one would comment on why the vigil was cancelled.
A press conference scheduled by the Dunwoody Police Department today was also cancelled, and all inquiries about the case were referred to the DeKalb County district attorney’s office.
Erik Burton, communications director for the District Attorney Robert James, said the case was still open and that he could not discuss the details of it.
