Second suspect arrested in connection with 2008 killing

A second man has been arrested in connection with the June 17, 2008 shooting death of Gerald Hill, according to DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Tressa Washington.

Lloyd Stephens, 38, was arrested on Nov. 17 at a fast food restaurant on Moreland Avenue near I-20. Stephens is being held in the DeKalb County Jail without bond, according to the DCSO.

James McDowell was arrested on Nov. 5 in connection with Hill’s death.

According to the warrants, DeKalb police were checking on a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on Wilkinson Drive in Atlanta on June 17, 2008. Upon arrival, deputies found Hill with multiple gunshot wounds.
