Man killed in Dunwoody outside school

The Dunwoody Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a man who had just dropped off his child at Dunwoody Prep.

Russell Sneiderman, 36, was getting into his car to leave the school when he was approached by a man with a gun, according to Dunwoody Police spokesman Sgt. Mike Carlson.

The suspect, described by police as a White man in his 30s, 5-foot-10 or 5-11 with a beard, shot Sneiderman several times and drove off in a silver minivan with no license plate. He was last seen driving westbound on Mount Vernon Parkway.

None of the staff or students at the school was harmed, according to police, and no one there witnessed the incident.

Sneiderman was taken to Atlanta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact Det. Andrew Thompson at (678) 382-6921.
