This is not your parents TCBY. This is Menchie’s–the newest frozen yogurt franchise to enter the Atlanta market. Menchie’s opened its Toco Hill’s doors on the evening of Aug. 26 for a friends and family pre-grand opening event held while the summer heat still raged and many people were still desiring cool treats.
Guests sampled any of the 14 flavors, including peanut butter, Georgia peach and red velvet, at the seven self-serve stations. At each station, one had the option to choose flavors individually or swirl two together. Patrons also have the option to choose among in more than 30 toppings–from sprinkles to diced mango to hot caramel and fudge.
One of the benefits to Menchie’s customers is cost control. Customers determine how much yogurt they want–at 44 cents per ounce. Menchie’s also offers no fat, non-dairy and kosher options.
Customers dispense their own yogurt and add their own toppings.
The décor and color scheme are inviting. Vibrant pink and green decorates the walls and will likely intrigue young and old.
“Making your dessert yourself is where we stand out. We embrace our younger patrons and are very kid friendly. This is what makes Menchies unique,” General Manager Geoff Bryant.
Menchie’s corporate office plans to open three additional stores over the next couple of months. In addition to the Toco Hills location, there are stores in Johns Creek and Roswell.
More private sector jobs to the area! Meanwhile, county officials remain heavily involved in internal squabbles.
