The Decatur Police Department is looking for a man who tried to lure a child into his car, department officials said. The incident occurred the afternoon of May 7. At approximately 5:30 p.m., the police department was notified that someone the child didn’t know attempted to persuade the boy to get into a black Toyota Prius near the 600 block of Commerce Drive.  The driver of the car has been described as a Black man, 20 to 30 years old, with close-cropped hair and a two- to three-inch beard. The car has tinted windows and a Georgia tag. The suspect attempted to entice the boy into the vehicle by offering him a free dog, according to the police, who said the child ran away.  Anyone with information should contact the Decatur Police Department at (404) 373-6551.
