Forum tonight to discuss overcoming arrests

 Atlantans Building Leadership for Empowerment (ABLE) will hold an open forum to discuss obstacles under the current Georgia law and possible solutions for people who have been arrested. Topics include, how an arrest without conviction can lead to barriers in employment, licensing, housing, education, voting, benefits and immigration; how those with convictions face event greater challenges; and how current Georgia law creates barriers for rebuilding lives.

The program will be held today, April 2, 7-9 p.m. at the First Afrikan Presbyterian Church, 5197 Salem Road in Lithonia.
