Atlanta, federal officials host business networking conference

DeKalb County will be among the participants as Atlanta City Council President Ceasar Mitchell partners with the U. S. General Services Administration (GSA) to host a business networking conference for companies and contractors interested in government and public sector procurement opportunities.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, in the Old Council Chamber of Atlanta City Hall, located at 68 Mitchell St., SW, Atlanta.

Those attending are asked to bring business cards and copies of their business capabilities statement.

In addition to DeKalb County, these agencies have been invited to participate: Fulton County, the state of Georgia, U. S. Housing & Urban Development, Environmental Protection Agency, U. S. Health & Human Services, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U. S. Small Business Administration, Minority Business Development Agency, Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center, and Georgia State University Small Business Development Center.

Pre-registration is required. Attendees may register via e-mail to r4smallbiz@gsa.gov. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. The main program starts at 9 a.m. Parking is available at surrounding parking decks. MARTA is within walking distance.
