Spring clean-up at Ashford Park set

The Ashford Park Civic Association Friends of the Park group will have a spring clean-up in Ashford Park at Caldwell Road and Redding Road on March 17, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 

Volunteers from the community are needed and older kids must be accompanied by a parent or adult while working. 

Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve work day scheduled

A volunteer work day is set for March 17, 9 a.m.-noon. Volunteers will have an opportunity to check out the progress on the new kiosk/pavilion and help maintain trails and continue habitat restoration after the privet removal.

ART Station to hold 16th annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration

Stone Mountain’s ART Station will hold its 16th annual Raising of the Green celebration and fundraiser, on March 17, 6-10 p.m.

The event features silent and live auctions of art work, theater tickets, meals at Atlanta restaurants and other goods and services.

There will also be music, complimentary green beer, and “A Taste of Stone Mountain.”

ART Station is located in the restored trolley barn at 5384 Manor Drive in the historic village of Stone Mountain.
