The DeKalb County Police Department is investigating a shooting and a home invasion that happened early on Jan. 17, spokeswoman Mekka Parish said.
According to a witness, a two people were arguing at an apartment complex on Tregony Drive in south DeKalb when one man shot the other several times. The suspect ran away after the shooting. The victim, who was known to the suspect according to Parish, was taken to an area hospital where he is in critical condition. There is no description of the suspect and the victim’s name has not yet been released, police said.
Also, DeKalb Police are investigating a home invasion that sent a child and an adult to area hospitals. The incident happened at Creekside Crossing apartments at 100 Cavalier Crossing in Lithonia. The adult was physically assaulted, Parish said. There is no information about a suspect or suspects, and the names of the victims have not been released.
Both crimes are under investigation.
